I was never good at languages!

Throwback to my childhood, I was always a brilliant student in science and technical subjects, enjoying mathematical calculations, analyzing problems and it was always a good fun solving them. But never was addicted to learning any new languages because I always felt that I wasn’t good at it.

But what I have learned through my limited experience that learning a language is lot more fun and also an entertaining process. In fact, you get to know the difference between people who have a knack to learn and people who don’t is when they approach others with common questions like :

• How long exactly will it take me to learn?

• How much of my day do I need to put in?

And this portrays their desire to learn languages, the reason is they do not want to learn but they like to see themselves speak and reap benefits from it. Also, there are kind of people who, when they face failure, they just quit easily.

In order, to make your languages learning a lot more fun, you should focus on the things that interest you like watching films, series, cartoons, tv shows etc, reading the kind of books or articles that you admire and enjoying those which are easily available.

Don’t ever feel sad because you are watching a video or reading a book which you can not understand, don’t feel shy because you can not make a conversation with a native speaker. Just believe in yourself, it might take a while, maybe lot more than you had imagined. But you have to stay strong to overcome all the hurdles and that is your key towards success. However, you might feel weak while you pursue your goals, just remember that every mistake is a lesson and you can learn from it to stay motivated and make a gradual progress.

I wanted to share this article because it means a lot to me. It’s my challenge to pass on this message, to share love because I care and at the same time I wish to make a change about our way of thinking as well.

Here are my 2 cents, it’s never too late for a new beginning. We are never incompetent to do something. We are never less than anyone else. We just need to find what we want to do and start doing it with love because happiness is doing what you love and loving what you do. Then, and only, at that moment you are doing your best and it really shows up to everyone around you.
