Thank you so much to all the people who are helping to
handle our current situation. No matter big
or small effort you are putting in, thank you.
A situation which I don’t want to describe as difficult but
as different.
Yes, a different experience from which we have to learn
so many lessons.

To learn that nothing stays forever.
To learn we will plan as much as we can but destiny
will finally bring whatever it’s right for us
at the right moment.
To learn how to slow down, to meditate, to stay grateful
and keep the positive vibes.
Perhaps being happy is neither about things we want
or reaching our goals. However, it’s about
our attitude on how we deal with different situations in
our daily life.
To learn how to take good care of this beautiful planet.
To learn that change starts from us as earth’s citizens.
To learn to always allow our mind to think out of the box.
To learn how to cherish time with our family,
our partner and even self.
To learn to take time and understand what is our purpose
in life, to replan our priorities, to do
things we love but we hardly get time to do it because we
are all-time busy.

And therefore I want to share with you my beautiful
friends some good things I do
in this quarantine time to make my time more productive
and maintain my good and
positive mood.

First of all let’s talk about books, the only mode
of transport that’s legal right now which allows us
to travel on time to many places, stories and knowledge.
Honestly, I usually prefer paper books
more than ebooks or audiobooks but sometimes we are
supposed to adapt ourselves to situations
we are living in. So after the lockdown was announced
I found myself with only one book not yet
finished meanwhile I was thinking about what to buy next.
I will share with you some good links/apps to get new
and free books so let me start by :
“Googlepodcasts”, this application has been my best c
so far and moreover when
I’m not able to go out and buy new books. PS: there are
a lot of good things to listen to such as
books, learning new languages, Ted talks, news and so on.
https://livre.fnac.com, the website livrefnac has also
contributed to this situation by providing some free books
on its platform most of them are in French language
but there are plenty
of good English books too just try to find the best one for
yourself.
http://www.pdf-ebookys.com, such vast collection books
you ccanfind in this e-library which I find so cool
and moreover they are all for free so enjoy
amazing readers.
“Free Books”, an application which also has an interesting
collection of books and audiobooks.

Entertainment is always a good way to keep
a happy mood, and therefore I came with some useful
suggestions which I really enjoy after a tiring day.

This quarantine is such a good opportunity to play games
even if you don’t have a PlayStation just like me :D.
There are so many games available on our phones which
even allow us to play with our friends and family who are
far so I will list the favourite one to me so far.

“QuizUp”, I love this application as it has different topics
such as General knowledge, music, movies, business and
so forth. You can either challenge yourself, friends or other
people from the world.

“Ludo King” and “UNO™”, These games are just like I go
back in time because they remind me of my childhood
when I used to play Ludo and Uno with my cousins during
summer vacation, the true and innocent joy.

And as we have so much time I feel it’s the best
time when we have to start learning a new language.
“Duolingo“ is another favourite application, it’s
an application to learn language from scratch, with
so many tricks to remember new words and enhance
vocabulary. This application has daily tasks and helps
practice a new language. so I highly recommend it!

To learn new recipes and as I love cooking especially h
food so I take advantage to invite you
all my beautiful friends to take a look at my Instagram
account @im.sara.khalid. More specifically to my stay
at home highlight where I share ingredients and
instructions of delicious healthy food which I cook.

Finally, I would like to say to all of you please stay safe,
healthy and happy.
Keeping you all in my prayers. From Sara with love <3

I'm so glad to be back with a highlight of the most remarkable books I read in 2019. Honestly speaking this article is the favourite one to my heart so far as it’s a combination of reading and writing at the same time and I just hope it will be useful to all of you so that you can decide what is your next book.
As I mentioned it before on my Instagram captions, reading has helped me a lot to enhance my language skills. And in return, I really want to inspire someone else and be a motivation for a good change.
So let’s start giving a review of the first two books which I decided to begin my 2019 with.
The Subtle Art of not giving a fuck by Mark Manson:
In my own point of view, I prefer to read personal development books as they have a good impact on our entire life vision.
Especially in a world full of toxic people, difficult moments. I feel that we all need to stay strong, knowing our worth and always be grateful for bad and good things.
And therefore, I can’t stop myself to suggest this book as one of the best books which can lift you up in your hard times. With a simple English vocabulary, Mark was trying to explain how much it’s so important to know that we only have a short life and we shouldn’t waste it on useless petty things.
With nine chapters, the book had the power to captivate me a thing which allowed me to record the shortest time I could do to finish reading a book (Proud Sara hahaha). From the first page itself, you feel glued to the pages.
You might start now telling yourself; We already know that life is too short to be wasted in useless things and we don’t need a book to tell us that; I will simply reply by; Yes, we all know so many other things but sometimes we lack practice or courage and most of the time we need a good reminder or a reason to get motivated after stress, pressure, failure and so forth. So I feel reading, listening or watching motivational speeches can help us a lot to change to the best and fall in love again with life.
Hands down, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson is probably one of the first books I would recommend to anyone. It’s an instant morale booster.
Becoming by Michelle Obama:
I know, I know hahaha It’s a book out of the book’s type which I really prefer to read but let me tell you that I’m a huge fan of Michelle’s personality.
Kind, respectable, Strong, intellectual and intelligent women were always the best idols to me so far and have inspired me a lot to work hard for the best version I want to be.
And this is the main reason which pushed me to start reading “Becoming”. I was so much curious to know more about Michelle’s life more than what we watch or read on social media, I wanted to know how this woman was raised, how she thinks and how she deals with her difficult moments.
And that’s exactly what she was telling us on her book, the stories from her childhood, her brother, her neighbourhood and her family. She informs us in a brilliant voice about what it was like in the place and time she grew up.
And to be honest with you, maintaining my reading was a struggle(Hahaha) as it’s a book of 426 pages with many details which require a deep concentration but on another side, it was so much inspiring and I can’t just stop myself to suggest it as a good narrative book.

Well, after I finished reading these two books. I felt lost and I couldn’t decide what is my next book? Until one of my friends suggested: “The courage to be disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga”.
If you are following just a little bit you will get to know how much I’m so inspired by Asian cultures and especially Japanese culture. And therefore, it didn’t take me even one second to choose it as my next reading.
The courage to be disliked is a Japanese analysis of the work of 19th-century psychologist Alfred Adler, who established that happiness lies in the hands of each human individual and does not depend on past traumas.
The book tells the story of an unhappy young man, who visits a philosopher on the outskirts of his city. Over the course of five conversations, the teacher helps him take control of his own life and happiness.
We are all guilty of making excuses for why we are unhappy. We find people or situations to blame our moods on. This holds us back from true fulfilment. It takes courage to see that these excuses are of our own making and that we can let them go. Letting go of these excuses is an important step toward finding happiness. Letting go comes down to cause and effect.
To summarize, from this book we get to learn when we first form our lifestyle, what to avoid to not fall into the competition trap and how we can build meaningful relationships without getting frustrated.

Last but not least, my choice to read "The four agreements by Miguel Ruiz" was just by accident from a story on Instagram. And after taking a look at internet reviews I immediately decided to get it.
The four agreements is also a personal development book, where Miguel Ruiz discussed four agreements which are essential to living a fulfilled life and begin free.
he also used a simple English vocabulary which made it an easy reading book.
With only four chapters:
1- Be impeccable with your word
2- Don't take anything personally
3- Don't make assumptions
4- Always do your best
It is teaching can be life-changing and therefore, I wanted to share it with you and why not making an impact on someone else.
I hope by the end of this article you will be able to decide what is your next book, and as always I will be waiting for your feedback.

Ah, Barcelona! The city which stole my heart and for the time being, it’s my favourite European city so far till maybe I get the chance to visit more cities in Europe.

So grateful for the five days spent in this huge city full of old architecture buildings, friendly people, good music and beautiful weather especially in December. And therefore I decided to share with you guys my itinerary, the best deals, delicious food places for food lover and secret Instagram spots in Barcelona.

While I was planning to visit Barcelona, I tried to cover all the good places which no one of us should miss. But in another hand, you have to know, that they are a lot of paid tourist attractions in Barcelona so you have to decide either you pay to get access to all tourist attractions. In this case, you will have to buy a Barcelona Card, you can read more information in this link.

To choose only a few of them and pay separately (you will find the prices below);

Or as I did, just go to the place and get to see places from outside click pictures and That’s all.

Why did I make this decision?
Well honestly, in my previous travels I used to pay a lot just to get into a tourist attraction, but then I find it so crowded or it’s not worth the price. And therefore, for this trip, I tried to select all paid attractions and watch a lot of vlogs on youtube so that I can decide either I go or no.

So let’s start by sharing with you guys my itinerary:

First day:

  • Casa Batllo 25 euro
  • Barcelona Cathedral
  • Arc de Triomf
  • The plant wall
  • Bishop’s bridge
  • Plaça de Sant Felip Neri
  • Torre Agbar (by night)

Second day:

  • Camp Nou (you will find the link to buy your ticket below)
  • Red house
  • Casa Vicens 15 euro
  • Park Gûell 10 euro
  • Bunkers del Caramel (sunset)

Third day: Shopping Day :D

First stop was la Roca Village: On my own experience, if you are looking for good deals with cheap prices I don’t suggest la Roca Village. Honestly, I got disappointed while visiting it so I don’t want you to feel the same.
Actually, La Roca Village is an outlet for all expensive brands so if you want to buy luxury things then it is the best place.
Portal Del Angel
Parc Montjuic (By night)

Fourth day:

  • Las Ramblas
  • The human statues
  • Mercado de la Boqueria
  • Port Vell
  • Miro Mural

Fifth day:

It was dedicated to a day trip out of Barcelona, and therefore I chose to visit Montserrat as I really find my soul in nature and moreover, I wanted to try the cable car experience for the first time.

I will give you some information needed:
The first train starts at 8h30 and it takes 1 hour to reach the place.
Where to book your ticket? Line R5 from ESPANYA RAIL STATION

How much the ticket costs? 22 euro per person both ways and you have two options either you book for the Cable Car experience (get off at train station Aeri Montserrat) or Rack railway Cremallera Funicular experience (get off at train station Monistrol Montserrat)

I will also share with you guys a mini vlog on my IGTV about this beautiful experience and I just hope you will like it.

Best deals:

T-10 card:

You can buy this card from the metro station at the airport for about 10 euro.

This is so far the best deal to commute in Barcelona, so this card allows you to have 10 trips and you can use it in the bus I metro, bus, FGC, TRAM and Rodalies de Catalunya.

And by the way, if you use the card in less than 70 min the next trip is for free and that was so good in case you have two or more transportations to reach a place.

Sim Card:

As I had planned during this trip to visit more than one country, the best deal was to buy a European card from EL PRAT AIRPORT you will find a travel shop in terminal 1 from where you buy your sim card (price: 25 euro Organe company, includes: 10 GO, 30 minutes and free calls to people who has the same card)

Camp Nou Ticket:

I bought my ticket from TripAdvisor as I find it so far a good and trustworthy platform, where you can read reviews and get to know the rating of each seller based in other traveller’s voting. Link from where I bought my ticket.

Hostels or Hotels?:

As I shared before with you on Instagram (:p If you are not following me yet so what are you waiting for to follow? hahaha :D My Instagram account is: @im.sara.khalid).

In my own perspective of thinking, I don’t need to stay in a luxury place to travel. So hostels were so far my best option while I am travelling. They are cheap, clean and secure and that’s exactly what I am looking for and also you get to chat with different people from different countries and why not making new friends.

During my Barcelona trip, I chose to stay in Yeah Barcelona Hostel ( PS: not sponsored and they didn’t ask me to do it, I just love to share with you all good deals so this is my honest review about it)

1- Friendly staff, all the time they are smiling and ready to help on whatever you ask for. Moreover, they talk fluently English so no problem regarding communication.

2- Usually when you book your stay, the hostel doesn’t include breakfast so you have to pay it separately and it costs 3 euro. I find the price so affordable compared to the diversity of food they offer so yeah I’m giving a thumbs up to it.

3- There are no towels in your room so you have to bring yours.

4- I booked a female room of 4 beds with private shower and toilet. the room was so clean, quite big and what I liked about this room the view from the balcony, the makeup mirror, and the wardrobe it was really so big that I can put all my luggage inside.

5- The location is just perfect.

Delicious food places:

In my own point of view, Barcelona is the best place to have delicious food.

So try as much as you can to enjoy your time hahaha.

They say: Run like no one is watching I say: eat like no one is watching :D

So the best way to know your nearby restaurants and coffee shops is by using Mr Google. The new facilities which google afford(Rating, reviews, photos of the place), helped me a lot to find good places to eat and I can’t just stop myself to suggest it as the best solution.

But don’t worry :D, I will also share with you my own experience. Let’s start Yummy Yummy in my tummy :p :

Secret Instagram spots in Barcelona:

Torre Agbar:

The plant wall Address: Carrer de l'Allada Vermell

Red house, address: Carrer de Pàdua,75,08006

There is no specific age to do something. It’s just that sometimes we try to put ourselves the pressure because we simply feel that we have to keep up with everyone else and therefore we get baffled between two questions : Should we live the life we want or live with what others find right?

There is no timeline and we are not supposed to follow each other.

Moreover, there is no reason to feel ashamed! And it’s not because we have a different perception of how we see life, that merely means it’s a sin!!! However, the act of making our targets attached to a timeline and feel stressed by asking ourselves of why I can’t do it? Because this person and that person did it at this stage of age, and unfortunately at that time we start to cause a pernicious effect to our physical and mental health.

We all were never asked to move towards the same goals and achievements. In contrast, we were born free to do whatever we see right for us. Here is one of the powerful statements that I cherish a lot “Why do you enslave people when they were born free?” - Umar Ibn Al Khattab (RA).

We are all allowed to make our own priorities, to find our own paths, to seek our own happiness, to be selfish at some point when we are in a situation where we just have two options: white or black and there is absolutely nothing between them. We are all allowed to learn, what matters is OUR INNER VOICE and not what others do or how much it took them to do, if we really believe in it.

Our successes and failures are part of our daily life which describe of who we are today!

Our strengths and weaknesses are part of our human being.

It’s ok, if you can’t link your life’s stages to your age, rather enjoy each moment of it as much as you can and create your happiness because no one will help you to tackle all the difficulties you survive except YOU and only YOU. So please, don’t allow anyone to judge your life and it’s ok if we live differently!!

When you start asking yourself, how do others (And by the way I did not mean rich people by others :D) get to go on an abroad travel? Isn’t it expensive?

Fairly, Yes It’s quite expensive. But people who are fascinated to explore new places and live a
backpacker’s life are aware that priority is the key to make it real. What do I mean by priority?
Well, I merely mean how to balance your life to save money for traveling?

First: You should have more than one source of income from a permanent, occasional or freelance
job, actually this point doesn’t really matter. What crucial is having ample revenue where you will be
able to save money for the destinations that you wish to travel.

Second: Do some research about the average cost of living of your favorite destination.
That will help you to know how much days you can plan and how much money you need to save
for whatever period you wish to go for it.

Third: Get rid of all the things that can push you to waste money instead of savings,
such as shopping!!! Honestly, for me it doesn’t matter if I wear same clothes for several times
because I am not there to be a fashion model. Although, the more important thing is what good
places I can explore in clothes which I am comfortable in walking as much as possible while enjoying
nature and weather of a new city/country.

Fourth: Plan ahead. Buy your ticket at least 3-6 months in advance of your trip because you will have
a good chance to find a great deal.

Fifth: In your first voyages, you can plan for free visa’s destination to avoid getting stuck with all the
process of visa application and save some money as well. PS: You don’t have to follow where all
people go, you just have to follow your ambitions to create your own path. Always listen to yourself
and you will get for sure your destiny.

Sixth: Guesthouses or Hostels are always the best option, first of all because they are
more cheaper than a hotel, moreover when you are staying in a hostel you will get an opportunity
to know people from different cultures, countries and languages. In addition, you can build good
relationships thus it will make your network bigger, varied and ready to avail it when you will plan for
the next trip.

Seventh: Eat in, homemade meals are a good way to reduce your expenses. Furthermore,
you feel confident that you are eating healthy by cooking your own meals. PS : Soon new articles
about good recipes that I used to cook. So make sure you follow and subscribe to my blog and
instagram profile :D .

Eighth: Have fun, saving money doesn’t mean you need to live a life of deprivation. You just have
to get creative and enjoy your time as much as you can.

Life has too much lessons to teach us, let’s go out of our comfort zone. Always follow what make
your soul happy <3.
